Stazione Parenzana – Where Functionality Meets Aesthetics

We gave an old restaurant in Seča a fresh new look and transformed it into Stazione Parenzana, a restaurant and beer hall.

Every project has its own story. At Kaza Sistemi, we approach each client’s needs as a whole and design a solution around them.

From our first meeting, we knew this project would present an interesting challenge. The client wanted to transform the old restaurant into a beer hall serving good food. We needed to create a practical kitchen capable of supporting both a beer hall menu and an à la carte restaurant.

Once we had discussed the client’s plans and expectations, our design team got to work. Because the existing kitchen was divided into several smaller rooms, the layout had to make effective use of every space. We planned each room around its purpose and the movement of staff and food through the kitchen.

We equipped the preparation areas with stainless steel workstations, machines for meat and vegetable preparation, dough and pasta equipment, scales and other professional tools. Together, they support the team’s aim of preparing most of their food on site.

To help preserve freshness and make the best use of storage space, we built five custom cold rooms and freezer rooms for Stazione Parenzana.

The main cooking area features equipment from Gazi’s XP-LINE range: a cooker, pasta cooker, charcoal oven, gas grill and electric fryer. Stainless steel work surfaces give the team room to work comfortably. We also installed PRO COOK combi ovens and HTB bakery ovens from Slovenian manufacturer Fines.

Hygiene was equally important to the design. In the warewashing area, we installed Winterhalter machines for tableware, pots and utensils, and glassware, helping staff keep up with the demands of both the restaurant and beer hall.

We gave the bar—the area guests see most—a carefully considered finish, complemented by wine display cabinets, refrigerated counters, ice makers and refrigerated cabinets.

Our team worked across the entire project, from stainless steel equipment, refrigeration and kitchen technology to the cleaning products needed for daily upkeep.

Functionality and aesthetics, brought together in a space built to work.
