At the end of February 2022, our team visited our business partner MEIKO in Vienna, where we attended two training sessions focusing on waste management in the food industry and medical washer-disinfectors.
MEIKO is a globally recognized manufacturer of professional dishwashing technology. In addition to providing high-quality dishwashing solutions, the company is committed to contributing to a cleaner planet through the use of innovative technologies. As part of its ongoing efforts to develop advanced solutions to the challenges facing society, MEIKO has developed the MEIKO GREEN Waste Solutions range.
MEIKO Green Waste Solutions offers individual solutions for the efficient processing and recycling of food waste. Food scraps and organic waste are valuable raw materials and sources of energy.
During the training, we were introduced to advanced waste dewatering systems that separate dry matter from wastewater using the AZP dewatering system, as well as systems for collecting processed waste using the BioMaster. We also learned about the most sophisticated WasteStar FC system, which operates using vacuum pump technology. All MEIKO waste management solutions can be fully customized to meet the individual requirements of each customer, with systems designed and configured according to their specific needs.
The second part of the training focused on medical washer-disinfectors. In hospitals and nursing homes, equipment that comes into contact with urine, faeces or vomit is not always handled as carefully as it should be. While hygiene is a key focus of MEIKO’s solutions in general, this focus is particularly important when it comes to cleaning and disinfection technology for medical environments.
As we also want to adapt to the challenges of the future and keep pace with new developments, we will incorporate the knowledge and technologies gained during the training into our product portfolio and introduce these solutions to our customers.
