Strengthening team spirit and cooperation!

Three days of adventure and team spirit

As spring gave way to summer, the Kaza team set off on a three-day team trip through the Balkans in the last week of May. It was a chance to explore new places, spend time together outside work and strengthen the connections that make everyday collaboration easier.

A remarkable site from the former Yugoslavia

After several hours on the road from Ljubljana, we arrived at the foot of Mount Plješivica, home to the underground Željava Air Base. Once one of Yugoslavia’s most closely guarded military sites, it had five underground hangars with space for up to 80 aircraft. It was designed to withstand a nuclear attack, a reminder of its strategic importance and engineering ambition.

After exploring the air base, we travelled to Bosnia and Herzegovina and settled in at the Beli rafting centre. Over dinner, we shared our impressions of the first day.

Rafting on the Una River

We began our second day with a rafting trip near Štrbački buk. The clear waters of the Una River, the waterfall and the surrounding landscape made for a memorable morning with a welcome dose of adrenaline.

We then crossed the Manjača plateau, taking in its natural scenery before arriving in Banja Luka. We spent the evening exploring the city and enjoying dinner together.

Wine and local flavours

On the final day, we headed back towards Slovenia. Before the trip came to an end, we stopped for a guided wine tasting, where we learned about local winemaking traditions and sampled several wines. We continued with lunch at a restaurant by the Krka River, enjoying local dishes.

We returned home with plenty of stories to share. The trip gave us a break from our daily routine and, more importantly, time to get to know one another better. Those shared experiences will stay with us long after the journey.
