At Kaza Sistemi, we have completed a full renovation of the kitchen at Gostilna Repovž, a restaurant known for its tradition and exceptional food.
The project presented a particular challenge: the kitchen sits at the heart of an old farmhouse. We needed to meet the demands of a modern professional kitchen within a constrained layout, addressing narrow passages, awkward corners and points where clean and soiled routes crossed.
We redesigned the workflow and gave the kitchen a more open layout. A central work counter now anchors the space, giving the team a clear view of the kitchen and room to work together. Placing the other elements along the walls opened up the floor and made it easier for staff to move between work areas.
The new layout brings greater functionality, visibility and comfort to daily work. We also installed modern equipment that supports the chefs as they prepare the dishes for which Gostilna Repovž is known.
This project shows what careful planning, experience and flexibility can achieve, even in a demanding historic space: a kitchen designed to work as the heart of the restaurant.
